FoodTech Software startup Menutech announces grant from SME Instrument to pursue development of data-driven food menus.

Berlin, GERMANY – August 8, 2018 – Menutech, the cross-european startup pioneering the automation of allergen declarations and translations for food menus, today announces receiving the Phase I grant from SME Instrument of European Union's Horizon 2020 programme. The objective for Menutech is to use the grant to augment its Machine Learning capabilities and demonstrate the Menutech software in its final form as an online portal to digitise the food menu planning for European gastronomy businesses and support the implementation of data-driven Food and Beverage (F&B) strategies.

Co-founders Lukas Klement (CTO) and Laure Joumier-Klement (CEO) are excited to work with the SME Instrument to expand Menutech's natural language processing and predictive capabilities. The technology will empower gastronomy businesses to serve guests suffering from food allergies, tourists discovering new food cultures and help catering for new and upcoming culinary trends.
