How do I choose the right template?
"Go to “Template” and filter the menu templates based on your needs:
- paper size (A3, A4, A5)
- paper orientation (portrait or landscape)
- choices between dishes
- wine recommendations

How do I write a menu in a different language?
"Go to “Write a new menu” and change the language in “Select primary language”.
This will not change the language of the application. It will allow you to type your menu in another language. Particularly useful when all the guests are tourists from abroad.
How do I customise my menu template?
While you are writing your menu, select "menu settings" on the right. There you can change the language and you find different options, for instance to add a recommended wine or prices. Moreover, you will find below your menu "add details to your menu" to add further information.
If you want to make it even more personal, contact us and we will help you to find your own design.
How do I get my own template on menutech?
If you would like to use your own menu design, please send us an email with a PDF/.jpg version of your existing menu. Our design and programming team will digitise it on your account.
Are the translations word-for-word?
No, they come from hotellery school cooking books. Moreover, our translators constantly control and update the translations.
How do I change my account’s language?
Click on "settings" and then "account" on the top right of your screen. There you will find the option "change your preferred language".
How do I add a translation to a dish?
Once you have written your menu, click on "print". There you will find the option "add translation" and choose different languages: Italian, German and French. Previously written and public translations will be automatically added by the software. You can modify translations and copy similar translations directly from your account .
How do I add allergens to a dish?
Click on the popover icon icon next to your dish name. The allergens declared for this dish will automatically appear. Click on the "+" icon or the "See similar dishes" button to activate or de-activate allergens for your dish. All changes will be automatically saved and remembered for next use.
How do I get my current menu labelled with allergens?
Let our competent team design beautiful and multilingual menus that are compliant with the latest allergen labelling legislation (EU FIC 1169/2011). The finished menu will be yours to edit and print whenever you want directly from your menutech account. Read more information here.
How do I add additives to a dish?
Click on the popover icon icon next to your dish name. The additives declared for this dish will be shown. Click on the "+" icon or the "See similar dishes" button to activate or de-activate additives for your dish. They will be saved for next use.
How can I re-active my account?
It is possible that your billing details changed (e.g. new card details). Please check your billing details are up to date in “Settings”, and “Billing”.
If your account is still blocked, please contact our customer support team via email to have it unlocked.
How do I change my account details?
Go to “Settings” and click on “Account” on the top right. You can change your account details:
- Account language
- Email notifications
- Download personal data (GDPR)
How do I change my email address?
Go to “Settings” and click on “Account” on the top right. There, you can change your email address.
How do I change my password?
Go to “Settings” and click on “Account” on the top right. There, you can change your password.
How do I change my profile information?
Go to “Settings”. You can change your profile details:
- Business name
- Postal code
- VAT number
Will my dishes disappear if I miss a payment?
No, we pause your account (meaning you can't writem edit or print menus), but all your data is still there.
Are there one-off payment options (NOT monthly subscription)?
Yes. We offer to redesign your menu (translation in 3 languages, allergens declaration and 3 feedback rounds included) for €450,-. We also offer a bundle price for 3 menus for €890,-. These subscriptions vary according to your needs. If you would like different services included in your menu design service, please contact us. We will get back to you shortly with a detailed offer and a time estimate.
Do my dishes disappear from the database once I print my menu?
No. The more menus you write, the larger your database of dishes. In fact, dishes are stored by the software, and will be automatically retrieved for next use. You will not have to write a same dish twice ever again.
How do I change my subscription plan?
Click on “Settings”, then on “Billing”. You will see the overview of your current menu.tech subscription at the top of the screen. There you can click on “Change subscription” and select a new plan.
How do I redeem my coupon code?
When asked to choose your subscription plan in the menu.tech app, a “coupon code” section is displayed below the different plan choices.
How does billing and invoicing work?
The Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA) direct debit for menu.tech plans (14 days pass, Fifteen-a-month and Unlimited) is completed via the payment network GoCardless. SEPA payment is available in:

What happens with my data if I delete my account?
We save them for 7 days, just in case you change your mind.
Afterwhich, all your personal and menu data will be deleted.
What is the minimum subscription period?
12 months for invoices, 1 month for (SEPA) bank transfers. Afterwards, you can cancel anytime.
